I know I'm can't be the only fan here right? Anybody collecting the Universe TFs? I can't wait for inferno, Hound, Silverstreak, Ironhide, and Sideswipe to hit retail soon.
How about the Masterpiece TFs? I proudly own Prime, Megs and Screamer.

You obvoiusly didn't look at my posts in the 'new aquisitions' thread Right now I'm solely collecting the Animated line. I dont have the funds or the space to add all the other transformers I wand to get to my collection. I love how intuitive and different the transformations are for this line. And for lack of a better word, the robot modes are so...animated, I've never seen a TF line with as much posability as the Animated line has. I did collect the Movie toys (for those that were at least in the movie) and will probably pick that line back up after the second one is released. I really wanted the Masterpieces, unfortunately my wallet beat me down for thinking about it.

I caught a couple of episodes of the toon and it did nothing for me, so I'm skipping the toys. That's not to say that I don't appreciate the toy designs, truth be told, I caught myself staring at that Grimlock the other day but snapped myself out of it.
My wish has come true and we are getting a Universe Classics Smokescreen!

Love the original Transformer all the way through Beast Wars but this new one isn't my flavor. I'll be getting the Muggs though. Just wish they'd come sooner.

I dig the new Transformers stuff, esp the Universe line. Can't afford though, barely can afford Muggs. I wish they never stopped the Alternator line. LOVED that line. I also have a TON of Beast Wars toys and probably all the Beast Machines. I was never able to own any more than two or three G1 Transformers, since as a child, my economic logic felt it was better to have my parents buy me three GI Joes over one Transformer. Ah well.

Finally managed to score a Transformers Animated Sentinal Prime yesterday. First time I've seen him in my area. Next to Soundwave this is probably one of my favorite toys in the whole line. First off, it's a toy modelled after a Transformer who is modelled after The Tick who is also voiced by the guy who voiced The Tick! That alone would be enough to make him awesome, but he transformation is fantastic. It's a very intuitive process that makes for a very sturdy Robot mode and alt mode. The only negative is that there is no rotary movement in his forearms/wrists, so I can't make as many awesome poses as I would like. But that's almost balanced out by the fact that you can actually pose the snowplow in alt mode. Pics tonight if anyone is interested Spoooooon

Welp, here ya go. Unfortunately I can't get a good shot of his head as my camera is too bad and wont focus. Look at his Spooony Goodnes It Swivels! I'd recommend anyone to get at least one of the figures from the animated lines, just to fully appreciate the molds.

I love how the robots don't even look like they should transform.

New Transformers Animated day. Today the postman brought me the epitome of double agent, SHOCKWAVE! Since I don't watch the show and only collect the line, I was pleasantly surprised to see that this guy is a quad-former! He has a robot and alt mode for both factions, very much cool. Usually, when you get a multi-former, the transformer tends to favor one mode or the other, and the mode that get's the shaft tends to look, well...horrid, like in the case of Animated Blitzwing (shown below, and I havent bought him for this reason) But they learned their lesson and made Shockwave very clever. He's a Tank and a Crane, he still tends to favor his Robot mode a bit but he's pretty much a dead ringer for one of those Tanks you see in the HALO games: Booo bad pic quality! For his Autobot Alt mode, they've gone with a 'cybertron' (i.e. best we can do given the mold so we'll call it cybertron to hedge our bets) crane. Flip down the tank treads, and pop canon into a crane and boom, done: Still pretty cool in it's own right though His robot modes really shine though. Both utilize the same frame while looking completely unique. First up, Autobot Longarm. Ugh, once again, pretty poor pic quality, but still, an awesome robot mode But with about half a dozen simple swaps he becomes Shockwave, and I couldn't be happier And if you take careful note, even his chest emblem changes to reflect his current alliance . All and all, I'm very impressed with how he turned out. Once again, I urege all of you to go pick up one from this line, you wont be dissapointed

I'm definitely getting at least Optimus Prime from this line. Is the deluxe class one any good?

The Deluxe class is the only one I have (as I'm not one to buy duplicates just because of a size differences or redecos) And I'm happy with him. His elbow/shoulder articulation gives him the option of a lot of nice heroic poses The only downsides are his 'obvious legs' in alt mode, which has been a Prime Problem since nineteen aught six , and the fact that I like the Axe he carries in the Prime/Megatron Deluxe two-pack better than the one he has in the regular deluxe class pack. I'd rank him in the top 3 for Transformers Animated Autobots behind Sentinel Prime and Jazz. Some photos, god do I need a new camera, and to heck with resizing tonight :-p And c'mon guys, I don't want to completely hijack this thread with talk of the Animated lines, the rest of you have to have been getting your own stuff :-p

It's been pretty slow on the universe TF front lately Reigner. I finally tracked down a corrected Iron hide (the one without the blue face) oh and I also picked up a Mirage from the first classics 1.0 that I had missed. My most highly anticipated Bot right now has to be Hound along with Inferno. Looking forward, Smokescreen and Ratchet look great as well!
