Hey guys,
I along with another intrepid MML reporter will be on hand at this years San Diego Comic con where we will have direct access to the Hasbro team. Along with some questions of ours, we would be happy ask any questions you might have on the Mighty Muggs line and it's future. All we ask is that you keep them questions short and simple. So let your voices be heard!

1. How are sales for MM going? Are they meeting expectations so far?
2. Any chances for non-convention exclusives (i.e. store/vendor exclusives)?
3. Are any other properties in negotiations? How about ones that Hasbro already has the rights to like Transformers or GI Joe?
4. Is there ANY way at all that DC properties could ever be made since MM falls outside of "articulated action figures" definitions ... (or do they?) or does Mattel have a lock on that property even for something like MM (I am thinking of the situation with Marvel and DC minimates both being made)
5. What is the expected number of waves for 2009? Could that change based on current sales?

- I am wondering if older Muggs will be re-released in future waves? IE Stormtrooper and Maul only saw a limited release.
- Will the rest of the year be dominated by clone wars and force unleashed or will we see more original trilogy / original saga stuff?
Thanks.
Rich

Rich Rich...i understand that they are re-releasing the Stormtrooper, Vader, Chewey and Boba...i contacted Hasbro and asked them...they told me that if on the website it shows "coming soon" it is just that......(coming soon)

Any chance of any pro sports athletes getting the MM look?
What about older cartoons getting the MM look? example: Thundercats, HeMan
What if any, do we have to look forward to coming out in the rest of 08?

I'd like to know what types of plastic they make the Muggs from. As a greenhead, I'm happy they're recycling the plastics to make something sweet for collectors and kids alike.

Unfortunately Zoop, I read on some other board that the slogan is only that, the Muggs are NOT made from recycled plastic. Apparently, recycled "awesome" is just this side of legal, but if true, is misleading. As a fellow environmentalist, I was disappointed to read this. Hopefully, those attending the con can confirm this one way or the other (although the post I read claimed someone talked to Hasbro ... hope they were misinformed!)

I believe these Muggs ARE recycled plastic....i don't think they would advertise it as such things could get ugly if it wasn't true....but I don't know. do you have a link to the article regarding the info? I would like to read it too.

The key (that I read) was that they NEVER said they were recycled PLASTIC... they were recycled "AWESOME."
Yeah, I know... it implies it .. but if it is true that it is JUST a slogan, implications are NOT illegal, just misleading.. they easily could have said recycled plastic. Someone's idea of a catchy advertising angle??
Definitely something we should get a confirmation on ...
Will have to attempt to retrace my steps (i visit so many boards!!) and will provide the link when I can find it...

Here is the link (from the fwoosh) regarding the recycled or not recycled plastic: www.thefwoosh.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1229720The specific post from someone named Wolverinen64 says: "Ok so i got an email back form HASBRO & they say that the 100% recycled awesome is just a slogan, nothing more..." That would be disappointing .... (yeah call me an environmentalist!)

Kinda obvious, but ask them about an R2-D2 Mugg!
Also, will we ever see a Boba Fett with his blaster?
