I like the figures, although I was really hoping for a gambit. My only complaint is the same thing I've been harping on since Wave 4 was revealed. We don't need shading for muscles. Look at Spider-man and Hulk. Sabretooth would look just as awesome (I LOVE THE FACE!) without the muscle shading. Go back to Wave 1 principles.....

Hahaha, well Yug, I feel like you'll come around to them. I gotta admit, the more I look at Sabretooth, the more I like him as a Mugg. And yeah Joe, Insider said he found SKUs for Cyclops, Jean and Sabretooth in Walmart's computer system one day while shopping. It was met with a chorus of "maybes" and "pics r i no beleave j00"-esque posts. Except mine, because I'm awesome. Actually, I think the reason most of us were unsure is because it didn't come from insider, it came from herobyday. See here: mightymuggslounge.proboards80.com/index.cgi?board=mu&action=display&thread=1322Insider is never wrong...and from his posts it sounds like he gets to tour Hasbro's factory. This was a different source, and I don't know about you, but I don't trust everything Walmart does ETA: Don't want to make it sound like I didn't trust herobyday..it was Wal-mart I didn't believe

Dang, I just got MEGAOWNED. ;D My apologies. And yep, nobody should trust Walmart, but those who distrusted Hero... Tsk.

I like that cyclops is in his vintage garb, but i have to agree with others that this line looks like a bunch of custom jobs selling on ebay rather than an officially licensed hasbro product. Out of the four, my favorite is definitely sabretooth followed by wolvie. I love the ominous growl on ST, i think it's hilarious. I understand people's aversion to Logan, but i kinda think the expression on his face, and his arm and chest hair are pretty priceless.
Jean on the other hand looks like something Eddie Murphy might pick up off of the street. Anyone say Tranny?

This wave is so so. I think it's kinda lame it's all X-men. I think Jean is alright, it's just that female muggs don't pass the mustard unless they have a skirt.

Why does everyone fear change so much? There Mighty Muggs and I love them all!!!!!! this. honestly, i view muggs more as artwork than toys. i like seeing the different kinds of things that people can do with the basic shape. sometimes that means simple looks. sometimes that's more detailed looks. sometimes, it means adding a giant galactus helmet, or flames, or capes. sure, they're a bit different than wave 1, but i don't think that's a bad thing. it's just another way of interpretting what a mugg is, and i think that's REALLY cool... that these figures lend themselves to such creativity. it's like criticizing an abstract painting for not being impressionist. in the end, they're all paintings, and each have their own values. instead of complaining about a lack of consistency, try to appreciate the amount of variation!

Nah, I don't want to. I like diversity in my stocks portfolio, the workplace, and women I get to hook up with, but not in my Muggs. Sorry.
I view them more like works of art too; a specific genre of art. To me, it's more like criticizing an abstract painting for not being impressionist, but is still calling itself impressionist. I like the smart, simple designs of the past, that's all. I'm a purist and when I see these new ones with all of the additional "stuff" it just turns me off. I liked the clever ways in which the artist solved these guys in the simplest ways... now that cleverness is gone.
I am sure that it's all the result of some marketing guy at Hasbro who said, "Hey, I heard on 60 Minutes that all the kids are buying this stuff called Manga. Let's put out another Wolverine, cuz the movie is coming out, and this time we'll give him Manga eyes! Yes! I am so smart and indy!!!"
OK, I think I am done with this topic. Sorry if I agitated anyone. I just don't like it when something I love gets sullied by bad design choices. That's all.
My opinion.
I still love Muggs, just very disappointed.

PS_ @ Zoop: I don't care if you got MegaOwned. We understand you were coming in with only the purest of Mugg intentions. And besides, you own Garbage Pail Kid original art, so you can do no wrong in my book.

The more I look at this wave the madder it makes me, Espesially since we have had some great Muggs lately, Red Skull, Thanos, Galactus and Vision to name a few. I cant believe anyone even approved the design for Sabretooth and Jean. I dont plan on collecting the GI Joes but look at the Baroness she looks so much better quality than Jean, I mean really what happened at Hasbros design department? And the spit from Sabretooth looks terrible and a bit like Mugg Porn. I dont know it just seems like if this wave was wave 1 then muggs would have died out a long time ago, the mugg magic is tainted for me with this wave, please give me an awesone Daredevil, Black Bolt or Green Goblin to make up for this disaster.

based on the walmart screen i saw sabertooth cyclops jean grey seriously i wouldn't trust someone if they said they saw blah blah but it seems i was right on the money and to tell you the truth i wasn't even really sure what i saw since it was so quick. But now we know that the waves are actually planned out way way way in advance and retailers get the skus even before any of us know anything.

Yep, a mighty (Mugg) fine find, hero! And I think everyone respects our opinion, Yug. Just because we disagree doesn't mean we're right or wrong.

This wave looks horrible. Not only are all the muggs from one series but, like others before mentioned, they look like a bunch of customs.
I didn't believe they were real when I first saw them. I hope Wave 7 is better.

I dig the Cyclops! I've been waiting for him since the line started, and that's a pretty good look. Now, if it had a push down the head and the visor lights up feature, that would definately kick butt, but take what ya can get.
Jean could use some work, no real denying it, but it's not like they've put out a lot of female Muggs before, not much to go off.
Sabretooth rocks!
