this is NO proof that 'wave 8' is a target exclusive...
we've seen a lot of star wars mighty mugg announcements and rumors lately including wicket, old obi-wan, gamorrean guard, qui-gon, padme...
perhaps 'wave 8' is still on track to be released everywhere and this is a special 'target wave' that will be released at the same time... meaning there will be 2 waves hitting concurrently, and a whole lotta new star wars muggs to be found.
until we get confirmation from hasbro or starting finding them in mass at targets and/or other stores, we can't confirm much of anything, really.

This is proof that these five Mighty Muggs are Target exclusive. It's really in the eye of the beholder; it doesn't matter what you call them (as Wave 5 Marvel is, technically, Wave 1 2009), the important thing is this release is Target exclusive. Personally, I consider it Wave 8, as this is the eighth wave of new Mighty Muggs.

Five characters is definitely a wave to me. Larger than most waves, in fact.

i dont like it at all. sure i have like 5 targets within 8-10 miles of my house. but its just annoying. when i make my lunch runs i usually hit a target and a TRU, having double the chance. now...i will only be hitting the target, thus cutting my daily chances of finding these in half. additionally, target does not sell muggs online...making finding them even more difficult. this whole exclusive game is quite silly.

Five characters is definitely a wave to me. Larger than most waves, in fact. i just don't think an exclusive figure, no matter how many are released at once, can be considered part of a 'wave' unless it's known that target is going to be the only retailer carrying mighty muggs from now on. while target is a big retailer, and they're getting (at least) 5 figures at once, the production numbers are sure to be less than a standard 'wave' of figures. this is a large number of exclusives, but i still don't think it's a 'wave.' plus, we don't know that, next week, other retailers (and target as well maybe) won't be getting cases of different muggs. would that mean we're getting 2 waves at the same time? that doesn't make much sense. i hate to be dwelling on this. i just know that this forum holds a lot of clout within the mugg community. i just want to see these guys referenced properly. EDIT: oh, and that same ebay seller had a shock trooper as well, listed in the completed auctions. it sold via BIN for $22.

And I think ultimately, you hit the problem with naming it a Target exclusive wave: it's just too early. If there's not another SW wave before March, then I DEFINITELY consider this to be Wave 8. If there is one, then I completely agree and it should be separate from other waves. Basically, the exclusive waves haven't taken the place of an official wave, and that's what we're waiting on right now before calling this an exclusive wave.
