I am sick with Hasbro on the re-issue...... are they running out of new ideas? Or they are trying to cut down their production cost with re-issue?

while we as collectors may hate the re-issues, it could be smart for the line in the long run.
yes, it could be a way to keep production costs down. with the crappy economy, all companies are looking for ways to cut corners. extending the (literal) shelf life of a couple characters is one way of doing that.
but it also could, whether on purpose or accidentally, be a way to ensure some longevity of the line. without a doubt, snake eyes and storm shadow are fan favorites. we collectors make up the hardcore crowd that'll buy these guys straight away. but for those joe fans on the fence with muggs, not being able to find a snake eyes could make the decision to not collect an easy one. so, re-issuing a pair of fan favorites might reel in someone who really only wants... well... snake eyes and storm shadow... and hook them onto other muggs.
so as much as they suck for us collectors now, re-issues are a good way for hasbro to cut costs AND try to expand their market. and honestly, in the end, both are good for us. if their market expands, we'll see many more muggs down the road. and if they're cutting costs by only making 2 new figures in a wave and not 4... well... at least they're not just canceling the line.

Doc brings up a good point regarding new lines. The Marvel and SW lines don't do this frequently, meaning they hold up by themselves just fine.

I think it might be what Hasbro learned from the other Muggs lines. There'a always a few popular Muggs that became hard to find like Venom, Storm Trooper. Seems like Snake eyes would be a popular one even for non Joe fans like me. I just want to get Snake eyes and storm shadow the most although I still end up ordering the whole set.
