That cool nice use of the stormtrooper head as helmet. With pl making luke and han troopers it looks like the little white guys are goimg to be rarer still soon.

In the case of the vinyl head it was easy. I just left in my car during the day in Alabama heat (incidentally it will be 105 degrees with the heat index today), so given that, the glue gave way and I just gently pulled the head from the body. The hard part was reattaching, because there is a groove around the base of the neck that the head goes in and the head looks and sits better when in that groove.

Great results and a (very) entertaining description of the process (melting Muggs in the Alabama sunshine!!)

The thing is you have to make sure to use the soft vinyl headed ones. To find out which one you have simply flick the head with your finger. If you hear a high pitched sound that's the plastic head. If you hear a lower thud that is the vinyl head. To do the switch I took the stormtrooper and laid it on its belly. Then I got a hair dryer and a timer. I set the timer for 5 minutes and blasted the back of the neck for 2 minutes, flipped over and did the same to the front neck for 2 minutes. Then blasted the back for 30 seconds then the front for 30 seconds. By now the head is very soft. Just pull the head either forward or backwards and you will see the plastic piece in the neck. Simply keep pulling the head in one direction and you will see that the glue starts coming undone. The hardest part was reattaching the head. I took the head and heated it up with the hair dryer for 3 minutes and then you try to hook one part of it under the plastic lip in the neck and keep pulling up on the head until the whole head is over the plastic lip. Once again make sure you are using the vinyl heads. Hope this helps.
