Hey Guys, been lurking here for a little while and decided to join your little group. Some people might recognize from another forum (minimatemultiverse).
I guess I should say a few things about myself I guess. I am 24 and am engaged to be wed on August 22 of next year. The funnest and most random thing about my wedding is that our photographer is coming all the way from Arkansas. I work in retail, which can be fun. There is nothing like opening a fresh box of action figures. I also have three pet ferrest that I love with all my heart (well, as much as a man cananyway).
I have been collecting toys (mostly Star Wars) since I was knee high to a grasshopper. I decided I needed to stop to, well, pay the bills. What got me back into toys was a combination of Modern Battlestar Galactica and Minimates. After getting the first series of BSG mates, I joined a forum, got real involved, made some friends and trades, and have a near complete collection of Modern BSG with five Cylon Elves (if that means anything to anyone). The only thing I am missing is the DST BSG holiday greeting card.
On to why I got into Mighty Muggs. While in Toysrus one day, I happened across some Star Wars Mighty Muggs (Trilingual packages ) and thought they were neat, but never bothered to pick any up. I then showed pictures of them to my girl, and she said she needed Chewbacca. I then went ahead and paid $18.99 at a run down gaming shop to got her as a surprise and she fell in love. Well, that was a couple of months ago and it is safe to say that lil' Chewbacca is with me in my collection of Star Wars Mighty Muggs.
The only part I am sad about (for MM) is that the end of 2008 is when Hasbro is dropping their license for Battlestar Galactica merchandise. Which means I will never have my official Cylon Mighty Mugg. I have seen customs on ebay and they look fantastic.
I will be lurking mostly around the market section and the Star Wars section. I trade a great deal in other forums (a +35 in MMMV), and I hope to do some trading here. All I am missing is the two-eyed Darth Vader (but who isn't ) and I knida want the Star Wars Mighty Muggs T-shirt.
I noticed that there is a member here from Syracuse. That is where I go to get my Muggs in the states. I hope you leave some Stormtroopers for me . Nah, not really, just glad to see there are some passionate collectors around me.
Anyway after putting you through all that jargon, I hope to be a positive contributing member of this forum and look foward to talking (posting) with most of you. Thanks for taking the time to read my post
P.S. I hope a Darth Revan Avatar gets made soon. ;D
