While I know that many Loungers are collecting their Muggs as their first experience with "action figure collecting", I am curious about the remainder, those hardcore action figure collectors who now have found themselves hooked on Muggs. These questions are for YOU. Do you view your Mugg addiction as secondary to your other action figure collecting? Has it displaced your 6" traditional figures (Marvel Legends, DCUC etc..) or 3 3/4" figures (Star Wars, Infinite Heroes etc..) as your style figure of choice? Do you think that, long term, your overall collecting will shift more and more towards Muggs and less towards the "other" things or are you trying to strike a balance? If it's the latter, is it working?? (At some point we all face the space dilemna... the problem takes on an added dimension for the combination Mugg and action figure collector... in the final event, when "push comes to shove", who will push who off of your collecting shelves???

Muggs GOT me into figure collecting, so they come first. Honestly, if I only had to collect one line it would be Muggs.

I stopped collecting Marvel Legends a few years back, and stopped with Minimates in the past year or so. I had cut my collecting down to just LEGO stuff, when I finally caved in and started collecting Mighty Muggs.
So, Mighty Muggs didn't replace anything else for me, because I had basically lost interest in other properties before I got into them, and they haven't stopped me from buying my LEGO stuff, so they are just an add-on for me.
The only other figures I collect besides LEGO and Muggs are McFarlane's Halo figures and I'm thinking about buying the Classic MOTU line coming next month from Mattel.

A few years ago my first retail job was TRU and the only reason I got the job was to collect my figures, toys, SOME dolls. Whatever my little heart desired, but then it got expensive and nothing really good came out....until the damn muggs. I hadn't bought a single toy in years and then my first mugg was Yoda. I said I would only do him and Vader and 20-something muggs later here I am. Now I pick something up here and there but my muggs come first.

I haven't collected toys in years. Started back up with the Batman Movie Masters that came out with Dark Knight movie. Everytime I went by the Mighty Muggs to find Batman I would stop & look. The Star Wars Chewbacca was the first to get me "hooked". It reminded me of playing with my Star Wars toys as a kid. So I picked him up.
Now (when my various shipments come in) I will be two muggs away from EVERY Mugg out in the US currently with doubles of my favorites. Mighty Muggs will be the ONLY thing I collect now. Hasbro should really just give one out at stores for free. They are addictive.

I was collecting SW 3.75's forever exclusively until I bought my first Mugg. Since then I have really focused on Muggs. I have shelves for my figures but my Muggs stay on my desk at all times. I have been getting tired of Hasbro putting out lame SW characters or purposely unarticulated figures so collecting Muggs has been a refreshing experience. They remind me of why I like collecting toys in the first place; because they are just plain fun.

If I didn't collect Muggs then I'd have more of the 25th anniversary Joes, but not too many. As for if Muggs have changed my choice of toy style collecting, I'd say no. The first line I started collecting solidly since forever was the Marvel MiniMates line. In truth, I find MiniMates and Mighty Muggs to be the exact same style when you break it down. There's the basic figure template, then the character design that has to fit that template.
