Cool...now we know who to send ideas to the attention of... Zenazazel - you still have those SW Muggs mockups you did on your computer? (hint, hint...) Jayp7 - I think that guy needs to get some pics of your Carnage and War Machine customs...

Interesting that there's only 1 designer. But at least all the designs will look consistent.

Interesting that there's only 1 designer. But at least all the designs will look consistent. Not true at all. They've gotten progressively more silly and detailed, and not in a good way. I miss the old simple Iron Man, or Spider-Man, or The Hulk. Now we have ultra-shadowed/detailed The Vision and Sabertooth, and the absolutely disgusting looking Phoenix. I wish they would return to form before they lose my business.

I completely disagree with you, itsallourblood. They've gone from looking like a children's toy to a designer collectable, which has gotten a few of my friends involved. For every collector they lose for turning the toys into artworks, they'll gain even more.

For every collector they lose for turning the toys into artworks, they'll gain even more. While I understand what you are saying, you've missed my point. I was highlighting the complete lack of consistency as of now. The Vision looks more ripped than my Hulk, and The Punisher's facial shading make him look almost inhuman. They're striving too hard to push the limits of their mold, and give the illusion of something more. It's a simple shape, and should stay looking simple. The old muggs look great. That's what hooked us all in the first place. Now we're getting designs like Jean Grey. I used to pick up entire waves. Now I pick and choose.

I guess it depends. A little bit of muscle lines are still acceptable but if they go super realisticly detailed like those custom Predator or TDK Joker Muggs then I'm out. I like the Sabertooth and Logan. It's different than the earlier ones but they aren't necessarily bad. It's like how Marvel Legends evolved. Series1-3 were more simple and less detailed. Then later series were more detailed and more articulations.
