pics of a take apart. i had a bad can of paint and i couldn't salvage this stormy so for the sake of sharing info i tried the boiling route. it works well, just don't get burned LOL. boil for about 3 minutes then use a xacto to start the body split under one of the arms, then use a flathead screwdriver to slowly pry apart. do it evenly from side to side. have fun...

Yeah be very careful, with trying to take apart. I found out the hard way, by destroying a Luke (reg) trying to do the Stromtrooper Luke switch. I literally broke his head off. I'l post pics later.
FYI: Someone mentioned before, that there are two types of Muggs. One is a type of hard plastic,, which is what you see in the post above this one, look at the head, and if you look at your Mugg you will notice a seam down the sides of it. The other Mugg is a type of softer vinyl/plastic these do not have seams. You can literally squeeze the Mugg head and it will not break. I did the Han Solo switch, by doing this. I left the Muggs, in my car (in Alabama heat) for a full day and the glue around the base of the neck melted enough for me to make the switch.

Honey.... we're having Mugg Helper again for dinner.....
Seriously, I think that it the first time I ever saw a Mugg completely disassembled (and not in a Bendis-like way!) Strange to look at ... but helpful for hardcore customizers!

lol.
Man, I wish I had the skill to customize. When the blanks release, I may pick up a few just to give it a whirl.

lol. Man, I wish I had the skill to customize. When the blanks release, I may pick up a few just to give it a whirl. Yeah I have a few ideas that I'm waiting with the blanks for. Rorschach, (I practiced on the Indy that I got when I bought the hat, didn't turn out too well though) various Mega Man robot Masters. I was hoping there would be a nice way to take them apart. How easy are they to put back together (gluewise) and how durable are they once reassembled?

i was able to take apart a plastic luke today the hard part is braking off the glued parts inside the body. some damage was done to the body though. i think i will first start with the storm troopers then get the other parts.

Just throwing this out there for hasbro, Munny's come apart and are able to put back together with ease. You should've seen My face when I pulled my first Munny head off. I almost cried, but then I read they make them that way so its easier to customize.
