Fantasy fiction. He is best known in America for the movie Stardust which was adapted from his first novel. I would recommend "American Gods" "Good Omens"

Yes he did. He also did the latest run of the Eternals for Marvel. If you don't know what that is, here's a wiki en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eternals_(comics)He also wrote Stardust, which was made into a movie, he wrote the screenplay for Beowolf and his new movie Coraline will be out in 2009 and is being directed by Henry Selick who directed Nightmare before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach. Like these other movies, Coraline will be stop motion.

Going back to Star Dust, I didn't expect much out of it, even though I knew Neil did it. After seeing it, wow, amazing. The wife much enjoyed it too. We've been recommending it ever since.
