The man made famous for edgy stand-up performances has passed away of heart failure at the age of 71; in Santa Monica, CA. Carlin's work span's from the 60's to the 2000's. From everything from 23 comedy album's, 3 books, and having the amazing honor of hosting the very first broadcast of 'SNL'. Also, he had his own shortlived tv series in '94, lasting only 12 episodes. Other television appearances were on The Simpson's, MAD TV, Shining Town Station, and Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. George was in a variety of films; some personal favorite of mine are Kevin Smith's DOGMA and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. The great Bill and Ted films of the late 80s/early 90's as the mentor Rufus. He also voiced the character of Fillmore in Disney PIXAR's 2006 smash hit CARS. But where he felt most comfortable was on the stage, doing stand-up. With countless performances "under his belt". Everyone being as controversial as the next except in 1972 in Milwaukee. He was arrested for disturbing the peace by saying the "Seven Words" from his routine of Seven Words You Can Never Say On TV. This routine later in 1978 helped cause the U.S. Supreme Court to open a radio censorship case. A very vast career for in my opinion one of the Legends of comedy. He will sadly missed. Definitely the first time in a long time a Carlin related topic has not made me laugh out loud.
Mr. Carlin is survived by his second wife, Sally Wade. His first wife passed away in 1997. Also survived by his daughter Kelly Carlin McCall.
This was written by me. After hearing the news and seeing no one had posted anything yet. I felt the need to write my own report out of respect for Mr. Carlin. With the help of facts from some other websites. Writing has always been a passion of mine. So I thought writing a article for a man with so much passion would be a great show of respect. I hope my "article" was good enough. I will also add links of the heart breaking news. Thanks, Billy!
