Have a read: forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=226855Being an old-school boomer, I'm more of a fan of the original 616 universe but this is interesting news and speculation if true. (There has been some speculation on and off for some time but the comments on the video are new and from an true inside source).

Supposedly rumors are that 1 or 2 books would be continuing after ULTIMATUM but the "universe" of books would be no more... we'll see...

I know I'm in the minority but I never did understand or like the ultimate universe. It just seemed redundant to me. Why not put all that time and energy into the regular books and make them great?

It was all about creating a timeline with less convoluted continuity (for readers younger than us that don't actually remember the plots of the 60's/70's/80's and also supposed to be a universe where "anything can happen." Ten years later, the Ultimate universe has its own continuity issues and (some) argue that several characters are similar in personality to the 616 classic one.
We might be in the minority, VP (or maybe not..).. but I'll take 616.... read alot of the Ultimate universe when it first came out and every now and again ... not for me.
