Muggers,
I just received a small shipment of Indy wave 2 for my shop bigeasycomics.com.
I also have most of Marvel Wave 3 in stock, and another 90 or so cases on backorder (revisions and all announced new waves) that will be online soon.

Thanks! I'm working diligently to get all the figures uploaded and hope to be done in a few days.
I'm also carrying: DC Universe Classics, WoW, Halo, Hot Toys Deluxe, DC Direct, Dark Knight Movie Masters, the new Nightmare Before Christmas import toys and a few other things. Again, all these items will be available within the week.
I work hard to provide a great customer experience and the lowest prices possible. All your support is greatly appreciated!

It's www.bigeasycomics.comI just put in my Order for Marvel Wave 5 yesterday, supposedly they're shipping in December. They'll be available for Pre-Order in my shop in a few days as will all the other Muggs I have on pre-order. I'm listing them at $14.99 each when they come in. If you buy them on Pre-Order they'll be $13.49/ea. If anyone wants to order the whole set it'll be $57.96 when it comes in or $52.99 on Pre-Order. I guarantee a C-8 or better package (for no additional charge) unless specifically stated in the item description. When you place an order we'll hand pick the best available figure in our stock for you. No, there are no images available yet. PM me for more info! Thanks, Steve

I appreciate that. It's becoming much more important for Mugg collectors to pre-order, especially as more waves of current lines come out. Let me elaborate a little bit... More waves naturally means more obscure characters that mainstream audiences may or may not know of. This certainly applies to Marvel Wave 5 as many people may have no idea what a Skrull is or who Vision is and this may reduce orders from the large stores (Wal-Mart, Target, Toys 'R' Us, etc.) whose purchasers may not see the benefit of ordering hundreds of cases of Marvel figures that are absent of characters like Spider-Man that they have little worry of flying off of shelves. Smaller orders from these retailers can doom announced waves, just take Indy wave 3 & 4 as an example. Wave 1 didn't sell well enough for these retailers to justify ordering large enough quantities for these waves to be produced, so they were cancelled. This trend will likely continue to occur with some of the other properties as soon as a single wave of a property doesn't sell well enough. So pre-ordering is important if you're a collector and want to help ensure that the announced figures are produced. I'm not saying that you should pre-order them from me, though I certainly hope many of you do. I think we provide a great value (guaranteed best figure in stock at no additional charge & best customer service you'll find). It's just important that you do pre-order any Muggs that are important to you so that you can help pad the numbers of cases ordered from Hasbro. My business orders a certain number of cases regardless of pre-order numbers and increases as necessary, however, many business only order based on any pre-orders they receive. Thanks, Steve www.bigeasycomics.com

Smaller orders from these retailers can doom announced waves. not to get on your bad side or anything, because i'm probably about to place an order from your site, but....... if these major retailers hold so much importance in the eyes of hasbro, shouldn't we be making every effort to buy figures from these stores. that way, those stores will want more muggs, and hasbro will want to provide more varied waves. i just don't see the logic in "smaller order from these retailers can doom announced waves" and pre-ordering from a place that isn't these retailers.

Absolutely. Before I started carrying Mighty Muggs I bought whichever ones I could find at several of those stores. I'd say I had to get 8-10 Muggs in my collection online.
Please don't worry about offending me, open discourse is important and I don't take things personally.
Unfortunately, the big retailers base future orders on past sales so waiting for the new wave of Property 'X' to come out so you can buy it at one of those stores might be too late. Use your best judgment. Indy Wave 1 is a good litmus test -- if you see new Muggs sitting on shelves like they did probably bank on the future waves having a tough go of it (much smaller orders from the Wal-Mart/Targets and thus possible cancellation). Again, if a certain figure is that important to you, I'd order it somewhere to be on the safe side.

this is just the internal dilemma i'm facing with this line, as i've faced with others in the past.
as you said, ordering a product online practically guarantees that you'll get it. and as a muggs collector, that's certainly the plan. but if we ALL order online, then walmart sees no sales and pulls the plug on their orders. and when walmart stops carrying something... the line might as well be dead. hasbro isn't a specialty toy company that cares about the collector market. they want shelf presence on the big retailers for the big bucks.
so, as a collector i want to order online... but as someone who wants to see the line flourish, i want to support it where hasbro really sees me... at walmart... or target... or toys r us.
that's why i, personally, try to pick up as much as i can at a B&M store. what i appreciate from online retailers, including yourself, is the ability to stock much larger quantities. walmart as a company might order TONS of cases, but each store only gets a handful of that. my local store might only get, say, 3 human torches ever. and once their gone, that's it. but you can have all your human torches in one place. so, 3 waves from now, if i missed human torch, i can still find one online. while walmart as a company might have a human torch waiting for me on the shelf four states away, you have one that's actually accessible.
does that make sense?

Makes perfect sense.
We're not the target demographic, so as long as the target dem. does continue to buy them, they'll be ok. That's why I worry about some of the more obscure figures. Every kid loves Spider-Man and would probably beg their parents for one relentlessly, but I don't know if a Skrull is going to get that type of reaction. I've no shame in admitting that their target audience is 6-12 year olds, just think about where eye level is for Mighty Muggs on their shelves (generally between knee and waist high). If we were the target, action figures would have to be kept in locked cases to protect the packaging like the video games are and they'd be carrying DC Direct, World of Warcraft, etc. Toys 'r' Us is starting to carry a few specialty figures but I don't expect they'll ever carry too many as they don't get any better wholesale prices than the small retailer.
