Gonna be buying tickets w/ my Tax return and had some questions.
1. Should I bring my daughter, she'll be 2.5yrs?
2. What's a good hotel in the area?
3. Any tips for a Comic-Con virgin?

I wouldn't there are alot of people there shoving and pushing, and I dont think its a good place for a 2.5 year old, but if your only doing panels then i guess. I wouldnt take her on the floor though. I remember alot of people getting into fights last year over some free stuff, and even stepping on feet, but settled pretty quickly. But I have seen todlers there. I think especially for a comic con virgin, you would be distracted with many other things. 2. I would also need help on that one haha, Ive slept in my car in parking lots, so gl with that one. 3. Bring your own food or eat outside the con, the food in there is overpriced and like cafeteria food. -Bring a camera - I would spread out your plans over the four days if your there for four days. -If you want any exclusives, better get em the first day, especially that one item that took two hours of linestanding (SDCC Iron Man) -My personal favorite when your in line, Have some lays on you (flowers) when in line, cause there are some smelly funky people in line, especially last year, barely any air conditioning and the BO started to reek! - bring lots of pocket money for the floor - lastly have fun

My wife's is asking about day-care but I'm trying to talk her into this as a nerdy romantic get-away. I should have no problem grabbing exclusives for you B. I hope you can make it though, I hope to see some California Loungers there.

I went last year and it was my first time. I highly suggest booking a hotel early and find a non-car mode of transportation to the con. There is parking, it's just extremely tricky and overwhelming. As for the exclusives, I snagged mine from a vendor for about 15-20. It was well worth it because the Hasbro line is absolutely insane. So a few extra bucks is worth saving hours of my time to enjoy yourself.

Cool to see so many of you guys coming down to my neck of the woods! I'm a 13 year vet, first con was in 96 (damn how time flies! ) Cat, I wouldn't bring your daughter, it's overwhelming and fanboys are not forgiving on toddlers! ESPECIALLY during panels when they are hanging on every word being spoken. on preview night, grab your program and go over that thing a fine toothed comb and hi-light everything you want to see, then plan, plan, plan!
if you are going to park underneath the Con be there by 7 am! if you go by 8am you will be SOL. especially on the weekend. Wear comfortable shoes, bring small snacks, mints, and get ready for the best 4 1/2 days of you LIFE!!

I don't have any advice unfortunately, i live in Nebraska and we have nothing like that, that I know of, however it is a dream of mine recently to be able to go to one of these. All i can say is have fun and take alot of pictures to put on the lounge. Can't wait to hear and see what's new.
