All right! I'm a third of the way done with my twelve character run with my 4th custom, and he's probably one of the most obscure Muggs I've planned to do, Porcupine! If there ever was a villain more deserving of the moniker "lovable loser" I've yet to see him or her. He suffered defeat after crushing defeat until he decided to call it quits and sell his battlesuit to the highest bidder. Unfortunately, he had developed a reputation as a loser and had very few takers. Those who were interested had insultingly low offers. As a result, he decided to try to sell the suit to Captain America so as not to let it fall into the wrong hands. Intrigued, Captain America agreed on the condition that the Porcupine assist him in a sting designed to bring down the Serpent Society. Reluctantly, he agreed. However, in the ensuing battle he fell and in an ironic twist was impaled on one of his own quills. As he lay dying, he said to Captain America that he was a loser. Captain America told him he wasn't and that he was a hero. The Porcupine refused to accept this and died shortly after. Captain America then had the Porcupine battlesuit displayed in Avengers mansion with a plaque that read "Battle Armor of the Porcupine...Honored foe of the Avengers".... anyways, sorry to ramble on, but due to the obscurity of the character I figured some background was in order ... that and he's one of my all-time favorite characters ;D ...as always, I tried to capture the same artistic style as Hasbro's and I think it looks right at home beside the rest of them on my shelf. I hope you like it and I always appreciate any comments, complimentary or otherwise. I'm on vacation shortly and am hoping to get off my lazy butt and knock out one or two during my time off, so be sure to check back in from time to time. Thanks for looking!

Very cool, I was thinking of that more robust outfit he wears. This one I forgot about.

Man you never cease to amaze me with these. I love the duplication of the original style.
Are you looking into doing commissions?

Thanks for the praise, everybody. As for doing commissions, I am seriously considering it as there has been some interest. It's nice to see that some of you have found my work to be of good enough quality to want to own one yourselves. I find that to be the greatest compliment of all and I appreciate it very much. However, if I were to do any, it wouldn't be until probably next Summer at the earliest. I don't mean to be selfish, but I want to finish the Muggs I have planned for myself first. I know myself pretty well and I fear that if I get into commissions that I will never get around to finishing mine. This may sound contradictory, but please note that although I am easily distracted, if someone pays me to do something, I put everything else on hold until it's done. Anyways, the reason that it may take so long for me to start other people's pieces is that I don't have a place to run my airbrush inside and so I have to work in an unheated garage, so weather permitting, I have a late Spring-Early Fall window to airbrush. So far, it's rained an awful lot this Summer so I'm pretty behind schedule. I have 8 more to go before I'm done the Muggs I've planned to do, so I figure a conservative estimate is Summer of next year before I'm free to start commissions. If you're willing to wait until around then, I'm sure we could work something out. I promise you won't be disappointed when you eventually get your Mugg(s) ...anyways, to anyone interested, please PM me and I'll put you on a list. I have two people so far, but it will be first come, first served whenever I get around to actually taking commissions. Thanks again for your interest.

Thanks, SMC. And yes, I've got you on my list... I'll even put you on "Preferred Customer" status, which has no real benefits, but it's a cool title to have lol.
