The best Batman Novel I have ever read is Batman Long Halloween. I suggest it to anyone. Please suggest some new stuff for me. I have read everything on the IGN.COM Batman Must Reads. I need to broaden my horizons besides those 25 books. Very helpful for anyone getting into Batman: comics.ign.com/articles/624/624619p5.html

The walking dead is a great series. Best Batman GN for me is Frank Miller's Dark Knight series. Transmetropolitan by Warren Ellis. SandMan Chronicals by Niel Gaiman. The Coffin by Phil Hester. Lucifer by DC Vertigo. Rising Stars by J. Michael Straczynski is great for any superhero fan. This could go on forever... one more, Murder Mystery by Niel Gaiman, a murder mystery that takes place in heaven.

If you like the walking dead you may enjoy "Black Gas" by Warren Ellis published through Avatar Press. Be warned, Black Gas is not for the weak of stomach or anyone sensetive to some of the most graphic zombie feasting ever.

I have recently bought this for only 5 dollars new. I find that funny because I just saw a website trying to sell it for 125!

Just re-read The Watchmen last night. One of the best GNs ever written. Alan Moore is a master of the craft even if he is a total D-Bag most of the time. It's to bad they changed the ending for the movie.

Honestly have NEVER read Watchmen. My younger sister has it. I will have to borrow it before I see the movie. As for changing the ending, I have not heard any "fanboys" complain about it?

For those 18 plus - I recommend Ex Machina by Brian K. Vaughan. Also check We3.
If you enjoy Marvel's heroes, grab 1602, its a nice stand alone GN, as is The Hood. I'd only read that if you currently read the Avengers books though.
Highly recommend Crimson for everyone. Teenage vampires, dragons, angels, knights, werewolves, and the end of the world.
Never read much DC outside of Batman, but I DO recommend Identity Crisis. As far as Batman, I concur with everyone else - Hush, Dark Knight Returns, The Long Halloween, Arkham Asylum (FUNNY,) and the Superman/Batman Volumes.
As for you Star Wars fans - Grab the Star Wars Tales Volumes. They dig deep into the Star Wars Universe and mythos.

Crimson is great, I'd almost forgot about that one. 1602 is yet another shining example of Neil Gaiman's talent.

RentonEther, if you like Manga you should chek out the Lone Wolf and Cub series. I belive it's being printed under the title of "Shogun Assassin" now.

Are there any good Boba Fett GNs? Or maybe Sith centered storylines GNs?
